Slovenia 2025

In March 2025, Riverside students had the incredible opportunity to visit Slovenia. As in previous years, CKSG School in Portorož prepared an extraordinary program filled with unforgettable activities and experiences. We were fortunate to stay in the school’s own accommodations, located on the top floor of the building. From there, our students once again enjoyed breath-taking sunsets from the balcony overlooking the bay. Our first day began with a visit to Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana, where we explored the Museum of Experiments following a delightful pizza lunch.

Throughout the week, students and staff also explored the stunning Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and spent time wandering through the charming coastal towns of Portorož and Piran. Other highlights included visiting a local farm, the aquarium, and the shell museum. We were especially thrilled to participate in creative workshops organised as part of this year’s ArtDownUp Festival. These workshops gave our students the chance to experiment with clay, explore various painting techniques, and even try their hand at dance. It was an unforgettable experience that left all of us eager to return in the future.
